The Argonaut

Argonaut...
Desire within rises, a boiling king tide
Expunge interior poison, sharpen the mind
Like a blade forged in molten flame
A steel purpose to advance thine name
Persevering against a hostile world
Is this what it means to be brave?
Deep breaths with intention
I throw myself against the ocean waves
There’s a chasm between what I think and how I feel
A mind bent on sabotage, trying to steal the wheel
But I find calm, in my ship I pursue an uncertain fate
Chasing the albatross, with a thirst only victory can slake
Row the oar
Split the sea
A comet of resolve
Though I sweat and bleed
The argonaut
And so this is
The pursuit of the hero
And so this is
The pursuit of the argonaut

War Dance Of The Trolls
06:27

The fissured realm quakes as they exit the tower
Gated iron teeth bury into the dirt behind them
Through the morning mist they heave out to the battle
This hulking few who make mountains quake and kingdoms rattle
A myth amongst men that their breed’s nothing but savage, and inept in all but war
A culture ancient and refined, yet capable of damage, encouraging respect, commanding awe
Both the enemy and the company of the trolls are petrified
By the ceremony, by the intimidating gargantuan creatures
Undulating In unison, martial writhing to a primeval beat
Bellowing, belching, twirling, gnashing, and now stomping their feet
War dance of the trolls
This is the war dance of the trolls
A once in a lifetime sight to behold
And now they massacre, pulverise, and decimate
Eating men like-Domitian-like flies on a plate
Spectators horseshoe the scene, watching the violence unfold
And never in their lives will they ever forget
The war dance of the trolls

A choking miasma at dawn
Meridian thick with suffocating fog
Through curling grey plume they come
Persevering malevolence from otherworld
Kneeling before the charred remnant
I remove my blade from its sheath
The realm has spewed forth all manner of enemy
And now I know what fate has in store for me
From earthen orifice creatures claw
Salivating at the chance to devour
That which is beautiful in this land
Not without confrontation, not without a final stand
Surrounded now, an ashen wind blows
Morning sun beams through the clouds
My blade glitters, on flesh it feeds
And I may die fighting, but live on in my deeds

Orthanc Seasons
05:34

Clutching at the wrist of hope
Refusing detritus, grief and carnage
A trail of contrition and attrition
Mute the swan song
Flooded and freed from darkness
Hateful grasp relinquished
Gleaming now with radiance and pride
Stronger having endured the other side
Persevered through suffering, cleansed the soul poisoned with mildew
Came to discover the ultimate beauty, all which was honest and true
And now I see what’s in front of me
Since purging fear and misery
Trialed by the dark
Though I forge and make my mark
And arise victorious
And on the other side
A paradise
